PostSubject: Making a headband?   Mon Mar 25, 2013 1:24 am

I'm thinking of modding my uniform to put color, and I wanna make a new headband. * q*

My current headband is a cheapo one that came with an old uniform of mine. It's like breaking apart lol. But do you guys have any cool tips and tricks to make a cute detailed headband? (Not just the usual black headband + lace or something)

Any webpages would be cool too * q*<33

What sort of look are you aiming for exactly? The traditional maid headband in anime culture usually sits high, and using that as a model could help you figure out where you'd wanna add color. There's a no sew method that's mentioned in this thread on cosplay.com: clicky clicky

Starting with that base you can start adding color and details. Lolita isn't really the style of the cafe, but you can definitely borrow elements from lolita headpieces. Colored ribbon, little colored detail accent pieces, buttons, maybe not feathers lol. Browsing some lolita sites can help guide you but sadly i can't do much past google. Hot gluing some details like this maybe? Although this style is more steampunk lol but the idea is there. woooo!

A-symmetry or symmetrical is up to you, and also, sometimes less is more :3 Just have fun! Show us progress pictures! Draw it out!!! What you like?!

LOL KATY )))):
skfjdsg omg thanks keiko AGAIN DA FAQ? ??? you're so cool i wanna be a cosplay master like you ))))":

uhmmm well i just wanted to do something cute and simple, not too complicated. like the traditional headband but the actual headband has lace on it with a ribbon weaving in and out? that would be cute. maybe even tiny bows on the side.

like i sort of get how to do it? i guess i'm mostly stuck on like..how do you even attach the lace on a plastic or a fabric headband? OTL;; like idk can you even sew lace? LOL;; i don't even have a hot glue gun ._.

also that steampunk one looks cool
